Darla came into the Gaylord Michigan Works office after moving from Ohio due to the death of a family member. Although she had over 10 years of experience working with children, she wasn't having any luck getting hired.

Working with DeVonna, her Michigan Works! Career Navigator, Darla created a resume and received assistance in her job search. She ended up securing a part-time cashier position, and she hopes to get more hours soon. Darla says she never thought she’d be a cashier, but is happy for the assistance Michigan Works! provided.
