July 28 —Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium facilitated an Alcohol Server Certification training session for 15 employees from Treetops Resort in Gaylord. Business Solutions Professional Alayne Hansen was onsite to train the employees and administer the tests that allows for participants to earn their state certification for the responsible service, sale, and consumption of alcohol.
Among the staff members being trained were servers, bartenders and beverage cart workers. The model used for the training was TIPS: Training for Intervention ProcedureS.
