Hope Builds a Flexible Future in Healthcare

With support from Michigan Works! and the WIOA and PATH programs, Hope took a big step toward a rewarding, flexible healthcare career by enrolling in MedCertify’s Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Billing & Coding, and Electronic Health Records program.

Earning nationally recognized credentials was a strong motivator. Hope completed training in all three areas and gained in-demand skills that open doors to remote work, career growth, and increased earning potential.

Upon completion, Hope earned the Nationally Registered Certified Administrative Health Assistant credential from the National Association for Health Professionals—a major milestone on her professional path.

Thanks to financial assistance provided by Michigan Works! through WIOA and PATH, allowing Hope to focus fully on her education and goals.

Today, Hope is well prepared for multiple career paths in healthcare, equipped with valuable certifications and the flexibility to choose a schedule that fits her lifestyle. This success story highlights how strategic workforce support and quality training programs can transform ambition into achievement.

Hope shares, “Working with my Career Advisor Abby Stark at Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium has been the best thing to happen to our family. Abby guides and motivates you toward your goals with a positive, ‘get it done’ attitude. Thank you, Abby and Michigan Works!, for putting my partner and I on the path to successful careers, we are very grateful!”

This really shows how hope can shape a more flexible future in healthcare. When providers have strong credentialing and billing services, they can adapt faster, stay focused on patients, and move forward with confidence and better care.
