For years, Gage worked part-time while aiming for a stable, full-time career. When that next step didn’t open up, he decided to shift gears – literally – and pursue a new path by getting his Class A CDL.

Gage connected with Michigan Works!, where Career Navigator Mary Trudgen and Career Advisor Emily Potter guided him through training options and secured funding for his program at Road Warriors. He completed the program and earned his Class A CDL.

After certification, Gage returned to Mary for help with online applications and local employment leads. She connected him with several employers, including Northeastern Transfer Inc. Gage applied, was hired full-time, and is now working as a professional driver—achieving the career stability he’d been working toward.
