Kelly works for the City of Alpena and for her to get a promotion and advance her career, she needed to obtain her CDL A. She didn’t have the available funds to make that possible so she reached out to Michigan Works!

Working with Career Advisor Angie Morgan and Career Navigator Mary Davis, Kelly was able to receive tuition assistance to help her complete her CDL A Training at Road Warriors Truck Driving School in Gaylord.

Kelly was unable to pass her first test, due to the blizzard they had on testing day, but she came back and passed with flying colors. Road Warriors was very please with Kelly as well, stating, “Congratulations on a job well done! I wish all our students could show the amount of drive and desire to learn that you did. Good luck in your future endeavors. Remember, if you are ever driving through Gaylord, the Road Warriors door is always open to you.”
