Shabrise is employed as a Resident Assistant, but wanted to move ahead in her chosen field in the Medical Offices at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. She is the single mother of two kids living in an urban area and has worked very hard to better herself and her family.

Trying hard to move up in her career, Shabrise found North Central Michigan College’s Fast Track Clinical Health Records course. She heard there may be tuition assistance available, so she reached out to Michigan Works! Career Navigator Jenny for more information.

With the help of the Michigan Learning and Education Advancement program, Michigan Works! was able to help Shabrise cover her tuition and get her enrolled in the course. Shabrise continues to meet every challenge as it arises and continues her self-growth.
