February 28, 2024 - Six students in the Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG) program coordinated by Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium attended the Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates Legislative Day in Lansing. Students from across the state attended the event. While in Lansing, one group of JMG students (Abigale Brown, Elizabeth DeRosario-Vogt, Vanessa Groenewould) met with Representative Cam Cavitt, while the other group (Abbie Serino, Gracie Fogle, Kylie Hickey) met with Representative Ken Borton (photo). All six students were able to meet and talk with Senator Michele Hiotenga. Students also had an opportunity to network with other JMG students, attend a panel discussion covering job opportunities in government, and tour the Capital.
