Marty was laid off seasonally from his job as a mason. As a part of his unemployment benefits, he was required to attend the RESEA class at the Grayling Michigan Works! office. Marty was surprised to learn what services Michigan Works! offered. He stayed after the class and worked with Career Navigator Amanda to do a Resume Workshop and apply for a Painter position. After the workshop, Amanda helped get Marty’s resume to the hiring manager for the position; shortly after he was called in for an interview and subsequently offered the job.
Marty has been with his new employer for over a month and they’re very happy to have Marty on their team. Thanks to the employment services offered by Michigan Works!, Marty was referred to a great new job.
