Finn came to Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium seeking assistance with transportation costs after rising gas prices created a temporary financial hardship. She needed help getting to and from work until her next payday so she could continue maintaining her employment.

After completing the required eligibility process, Finn was approved for gas assistance and received vouchers to help cover fuel costs over a two-week period, allowing her to continue commuting to work without interruption.

Finn’s story also reflects her continued connection with Michigan Works! In the past, she participated in the WIOA Youth Program and later received assistance with filing a UIA claim and attending a RESEA workshop. In August 2025, she regained full-time employment and has been working steadily ever since.

This short-term support helped remove an immediate barrier and ensured Finn could stay focused on maintaining the employment stability she worked hard to achieve.
