Joseph smiles and holds his CDL completion certificate.

Joseph wanted to expand his career opportunities by earning his Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A), but the cost of training presented a barrier.

Through Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium’s WIOA Adult and Out-of-School Youth programs, Joseph received tuition assistance to attend Road Warriors Trucking School. With this support, he was able to focus on his training and work toward his career goal.

Joseph successfully completed the program and earned his CDL-A certification. He is now employed with Central Station Lumber, putting his new skills to work and expanding his career potential.

Joseph’s success demonstrates how access to training and workforce support can help individuals earn valuable credentials, strengthen their skills, and create new employment opportunities.
