When Tyler first connected with Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium, he had recently been laid off from his mechanic position due to his employer’s financial challenges and had just filed for unemployment benefits.
Determined to move forward and expand his career opportunities, Tyler applied for tuition assistance through Michigan Works! to pursue his CDL-A at Road Warrior Truck Driving School.
With support from Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium, Tyler successfully completed his training and earned his CDL-A, opening the door to new employment opportunities.
Soon after graduation, Tyler secured a new position with Dubois Electric as a groundsman and driver, turning a difficult setback into a fresh career opportunity.
Tyler’s story is a great example of how training, determination, and the right support can help individuals quickly get back to work and build a new path forward.
