Michigan Works! Holds Job Fair in Gaylord

October 18 - Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium held an in-person job fair at Otsego County Sportsplex. There were four employers in-person and four employers for which Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium was collecting applications/resumes for. Attendance was up from the Spring 2022 Gaylord In-Person Job Fair with 21 job seekers looking for local career opportunities.

Employers in attendance reported multiple applicants from the job fair. Additionally, Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium provided four applications collected from the event to local employers. Both employers and jobseekers surveyed said they enjoyed the job fair.

Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium’s Career Navigator DeVonna Lancaster and Business Solutions Professional Melissa McDonnell were able to inform job seekers about the free services Michigan Works! provides including resume assistance, in-demand classroom training, youth services, and GED/High School Equivalency referrals.
