Michigan Works! Helps with Grayling High School’s Mock Interviews

March 15 – Grayling seniors gained interview skills and constructive feedback when they met with a variety of local businesses during the Grayling High School’s Mock Interview event. Each student was able to interview at least once and receive feedback from the adult mentors present. Community leaders volunteering at the event were Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium’s Youth Career Advisor Erin O’Rourke, Springs Window Fashion’s HR Manager John Metts, Crawford County Sheriff Ryan Swope, Northbound Outfitter’s Heather Compton, Arauco’s Julie Gingerick, and Alro Steel’s Jason Campbell. The volunteers were very impressed by the skills displayed by the students participating. About 65 seniors were able to interview during the event.
