Michigan Works! Helps Job Seeker Find the Right Fit

Sandra was looking to make a career change and needed help drafting a resume and sharpening her interview skills. Having received great help from Michigan Works! in the past, she returned once again. Michigan Works! Career Navigators Christina and Amanda helped Sandra update her resume and practice mock interviews.

Sandra interviewed so well on her first real interview that the hiring employer scheduled another interview with their partner agency sitting in as well. Sandra was offered employment after her second interview!

Thankful, Sandra states, “The personnel in Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium helped me pivot my direction and exposed me to other opportunities within the field. The resume workshops and mock interviews proved to be invaluable in my search for my next opportunity. I am happy to say that Michigan Works! helped me to get not only a placement, but the right placement for me!”
