Michigan Works! Helps Future Nurse with Tuition & Support

Darlene came to Michigan Works! after hearing from a friend that they may be able to help with tuition assistance. She was in a nursing program and was paying all costs out of pocket, as she didn’t qualify for federal aid.

With guidance from Michigan Works!, Darlene qualified for the Future for Frontliners program, as well as support services to help pay for her tuition and books/fees. She has since been doing very well in her classes, making the Dean’s List and the Honors Society.

Darlene was very thankful for the help she received from Michigan Works! and said she was surprised to learn about the magnitude of services that Michigan Works! offers.
