Michigan Works! Helps Aspiring Officer Achieve Goals

When Zachary came to Michigan Works! he was working in a job he was unhappy with. He wanted to attend the Police Academy, but he didn’t have the funds needed to pursue the training. Working with Michigan Works! Career Advisor Angie Morgan, Zachary was able to secure tuition assistance with the help of the WIOA Adult and MiLEAP programs.

Thanks to the assistance Michigan Works! was able to provide, Zachary has completed his Police Academy training at Delta College and has secured employment as a Deputy with the Alpena County Sheriff’s Department.
