Gracie’s journey with Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium began when she enrolled in the WIOA Youth Program and Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG). She was determined to finish high school and build a strong foundation for her future career.
With the support of these programs, Gracie not only achieved her goal of high school completion, but also developed vital employability skills along the way. One highlight of her experience was participating in JMG Leadership Day at Camp Daggett, where she strengthened her leadership abilities and learned the value of teamwork—skills she’ll carry into college and beyond.
Through the Career Readiness & Exploration program, Gracie explored a variety of career pathways, eventually discovering her passion for psychology. This fall, she’ll begin her college journey at Kirtland Community College to complete her prerequisites, with plans to transfer into a Psychology program thereafter.
Gracie’s drive, focus, and willingness to invest in her future have set her on a promising path—and her story is just getting started.
