Gaylord Regional Airport Hosts Talent Tour for Johannesburg-Lewiston Students

December 22 – Eight Johannesburg-Lewiston students toured the Gaylord Regional Airport, learning about in-demand careers in aviation. They were able to tour the facility, including boarding the plane, handling different equipment, and seeing a pilot license. The airport director and multiple pilots described their jobs and discussed the educational requirements for their respective careers, as well as touching on other careers available within the airport.

Student feedback was positive, with many noting that they learned a lot about what being a pilot entails and that they were surprised to learn how much maintenance is needed on airplanes.
