From Sports Management to Waste Management

When Gus first connected with Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium, he was working in a warehouse while pursuing a degree in sports management. After careful consideration, he realized that path was not the right fit for him and decided to pursue a CDL-A instead.

With tuition support and guidance from Michigan Works!, Gus attended Road Warrior Truck Driving School and successfully earned his CDL-A certification. In mid-May, he began a new career as a garbage truck driver with Little Guys Trash Company. Gus is excited about this new opportunity and looks forward to building a successful future in his new field.
