Dressed for Success

Filipina came to the Onaway Michigan Works! office seeking assistance with the work clothing and shoes she needed for her job. To meet her employer's dress code and safety requirements, she needed durable work pants and comfortable, slip-resistant shoes.

With support from the Presque Isle Community Foundation Grant, Michigan Works! was able to help Filipina obtain the items she needed to be properly prepared for work.

With this barrier removed, Filipina was able to begin her job feeling confident, prepared, and equipped for success. She expressed her appreciation for the personalized assistance she received from Michigan Works! along the way.
