March 7, 2024 - Twenty-four seniors from Onaway High School were provided with a 45 minute tour at SunFrog in Gaylord, MI. SunFrog solutions offers custom branded products, clothing, and accessories featuring laser engraving, uv printing, sublimation, embroider, screen printing, and more.
Seniors were shown how shirts, caps, and cups have company logos and other designs printed onto them, including how embroidery and heat transfer can affix logos/images. Due to safety concerns, no hands on activities were available, but students did learn that SunFrog hires workers as young as 16 years old, as well as a thorough conversation about what kind of careers were available, training needed, and benefits the company offers.
Students were also made aware that many big companies, including Amazon, BarStool Sports, and well-known colleges send their designs to SunFrog to produce logo wear. Feedback from the students was very positive. Many stated they were surprised at the cost of the machines required to produce the products and also surprised to find that SunFrog has produced shirt brands that they have purchased themselves!
