Michael worked for Tissue Depot in Cheboygan, but has been unemployed since the plant burnt down. As part of his Unemployment Insurance requirements, Michael attended the RESEA workshop at Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium. Here he learned about the Resume Workshop that MW! offers and he scheduled to take that workshop the following week. After building his new professional resume, Michigan Works! Career Navigator Kelli helped Michael complete an online application for a promising position.

After 27 years of service with one company, Michael was facing the challenge of how to sell himself to a new employer with hopes of utilizing his skills and qualifications. The assistance Michigan Works! provided helped him with this. He hasn’t heard back from the employer as of yet, but he has confidence that his professional resume and experience will land him a new position soon!
