Michigan Works! Tuition Assistance Helps Seasonal Employee Become a Full-time Commercial Driver

Andrew was a seasonal employee for a local company and wanted to find something permanent. He came to Michigan Works! to learn more about what programs they offered.

Working with Career Advisor Amanda Pauly, Andrew enrolled in Road Warrior Truck Driving School to become a commercial driver. Thanks to funding from the WIOA Adult program, Michigan Works! was able to cover Andrew’s tuition costs. And after he completed the program and received his CDL-A, Amanda also assisted with job referrals.

I learned a lot at training that I never knew about commercial driving and that I would not have learned without the training. I felt that the training went really well and it is a very good school. I would recommend this program to others who are seeking a CDL.”
