Michigan Works! RESEA Class Offers Job Search Guidance and Confidence

Andrew came to Michigan Works! in Cheboygan when he was required to attend a RESEA class as a condition of receiving his Unemployment income. He stated, “I’ve had many jobs over the years, from irrigation installation to sales and customer support. But finding a good source of local job listings has always been a problem.”

Michigan Works! Career Navigator, Kelli, helped Andrew with local job listings and rewriting his resume to highlight his skills for current and future employment.

Andrew says, “Since the RESEA class, I’ve rewritten my resume and have already had a call for a job offer! The RESEA program had helpful information and tools to build confidence in my job search and current employment. I have more confidence in my ability to ask my current seasonal employer for a raise.”
