Carl was having issues with his vehicle and wasn’t able to afford the repair costs. He was concerned about how he would be able to get back and forth to work if he didn’t find a solution soon. He came to Michigan Works! in Cheboygan hoping they could help.
Career Navigator Rachel was able to utilize BRES funding (Barrier Removal, Employment Success) to get Carl the car repairs he needed to be able to get back and forth to work.
Carl says the outcome was good and the services he received from Michigan Works! were amazing. He said he learned that there are programs out there if you are in need of help, and if you can’t do something yourself and you’ve given it your all, it’s ok to ask for help.
