Barrier Removal Program Helps Job Seeker Attain Additional Endorsement

Joseph was selected by UIA to attend a RESEA class at the Michigan Works! Alpena office. At the end of required RESEA class, Joseph mentioned to Career Navigator Rebecca, that he would have an easier time finding a truck driving position if he had his HAZMAT endorsement, as there were quite a few open positions that required it.

Utilizing the BRES funding (Barrier Removal Employment Success), Rebecca was able to offer Joseph funding to cover the required background check for the endorsement, for which Joseph had to travel to St. Ignace, MI.
