Wolverine Students Tour Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-Op

March 22 – Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium coordinated a Talent Tour for 32 Wolverine High School students at Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-op.

Students were given a demonstration of electrical and gas jobs at PIE&G. Students were given a chance to wear a lineman's belt, they passed around various tools, and were able to touch a hot dog that had been electrocuted in front of them. The students were so involved and asking questions to the point that they ran out of time to actually tour the facility!

After the PIE&G tour, Michigan Works! staff discussed available MW services and programs and distributed information on Career Pathfinder.
