Two Milestones, One Incredible Day

When Paige enrolled in Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium's Integrated Education & Training (IET) program, she was unemployed and working toward earning her GED. Determined to build a better future, she set her sights on gaining both the education and technical skills needed to enter the workforce.

Through the IET program, Michigan Works! provided tuition assistance for the Manufacturing Technician program at West Shore Community College, along with supportive services and a laptop that enabled Paige to complete her online coursework successfully.

Paige's hard work and dedication paid off in an extraordinary way. On the very same day, she earned both her GED and her Manufacturing Technician certification—two significant accomplishments that opened the door to new employment opportunities and a brighter future.
