Leadership & Supervisory Skills Industry Led Collaborative Training thanks to Going PRO Talent Fund

H&H Tube-Vanderbilt and Springs Window Fashions-Grayling are participating in an 8-week Leadership/Supervisory Skills training for upskilling their workforce. Each week participants spend four hours during work hours to take part in the training.

The two companies shared a common training need in that they need to prepare their employees for future leadership positions within their companies. Through assistance from Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium they formed an Industry-Led Collaborative (ILC) training utilizing the Going PRO Talent Fund. An ILC is a network of businesses, training providers, and workforce agencies that use the power of collaboration to identify opportunities to upskill their workforce.

In total, fourteen employees are participating in the training, which is being held at the Michigan Works! Grayling office, and rotating at a location in Vanderbilt. The training is being led by instructors from the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center and will include individual and group projects.

The training began on August 12 and will wrap up with the final class on October 21.
